Particle Music — Terms of Use
By installing or using Particle Music, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
License
Particle Music is licensed to you, not sold. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
- Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
- Redistribute copies of the app or its components outside the App Store.
- Use the app to infringe the rights of others or violate applicable law.
Your content
Presets, layer names, and other scene data you create on your device belong to you. The app doesn’t upload or access your creative work — it stays local unless you choose to share it (e.g. via a screen recording or export feature if/when added).
Imported Scala files
Scala (.scl) files imported into the app are processed on your device. You are responsible for any licensing or permissions associated with files you import. We make no representations about the availability, accuracy, or legal status of third-party tunings.
In-app purchases
One-time in-app purchases (when available) unlock additional features. Purchases are handled by Apple; refund and receipt issues must be addressed through the App Store. Restored purchases are honored across your Apple ID on all supported devices.
Disclaimer of warranties
Particle Music is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or future OS update.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oregon Code & Design, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including lost data, lost profits, or hardware issues caused by software behavior you did not anticipate.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The last-updated date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after updated terms means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Oregon Code & Design, LLC resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes that can’t be resolved informally will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
